The 12th PASCAL Conference took place in Catania, 6th to 9th October, 2015. Over 100 attendees from 17 countries across the World discussed the theme of Connecting Cities and Universities at Strategic Frontiers in the context of such topics as Big Data, the future of the university, university-community engagement, migration and sustainability.

Attendees met and worked within the confines of the marvellous University of Catania campus, based around the Monastero dei Benedettini and took time out to explore these buildings, the City of Catania and for an adventurous few, the heights of Mount Etna!
